RCCG Kenya Journey

Pastors Prince and Esther Obasi-ike spearheaded the establishment of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Kenya. In October 1995, Pastor Prince Okechukwu Obasi-ike and Pastor Ademola Farinu were commissioned to initiate RCCG in Kenya. From Kenya, Pastor Prince played a pivotal role in expanding RCCG into Uganda, Rwanda, Seychelles, Burundi, Sudan, Tanzania, Malaysia, and Stockholm Sweden.

  • To accomplish No.2 and No.3 above, we will plant churches within 5 minutes walking distance in every city and town of developing countries and within 5minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries
  • We will pursue these objectives until every nation in the world is reached for the Lord Jesus christ.

The Mission work

Pastor Esther Obasi-ike joined Pastor Prince in Kenya on January 27th, 1996, and together as a family, they have served as missionaries of RCCG Eastern Africa, overseeing several branches with its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.

The assignment

Currently, Pastor Esther Obasi-ike serves as the Parish Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Solution Centre. In addition to pioneering RCCG in Kenya, Pastor Esther also founded the Queen Esther's Generation movement, a monthly women’s gathering launched in March 1996 with the objective of Transforming, Equipping, Empowering, and Engaging Christian women in selfless service to humanity. The QEG arm known as Queen Esther's Next Generation (QENG) was initiated by Pastor Esther in 2015 with the goal of Transforming and Empowering young girls to discover their true identity and realize their human potential through mentorship. Pastor Esther is also the visionary behind the renowned radio program on Hope FM named “Power in the Word,” which commenced in 2005, as well as the founder of the Redeemed Christian Bible College (RCBC) established in 1999. Pastors Prince and Esther Obasi-ike are blessed with two remarkable sons, Favour Okechukwu Obasi-ike and Goodnews Chimemeka Obasi-ike.

Pa' Akindayomi's Successor

Rev. Akindayomi, the Founder of The Redeemed Christian Church of God remained faithful to his vision until his death in 1981. In the early 1970s, he received a message about his spiritual successor. When Dr. Enoch Adeboye joined the church in 1973, Rev Akindayomi recognized him as the one. Dr. Adeboye became an interpreter and was ordained as a pastor in 1975.
